뉴욕 메트로폴리탄 박물관은

6월 29일과 30일,

이틀 방문했어요.

 

그로부터 정확히

6개월 뒤 12월 30일,

샌프란시스코에서

귀국 5시간 전

누군가 도로에 주차한

차량 뒷 유리를 깨고

박아빠의 백팩과

똘냥이의 트렁크,

새로 산 작은 트렁크를 훔쳐 달아났어요.

 

그 충격에서 조금씩 벗어나고 있지만

정성스레 지난 방문기를 쓸

마음의 여유가 없어

이렇게 작품과 작가,

제목을 나열해요.

 

12월 미국행 이전에도

글 쓸 마음이 생기지 않아

글 안 올린지 한참 되기는 했어요.

 

아마 다음편 MET 2편도

이런 식이 되지 않을까 싶어요.

 

그렇게 몇 편 지나고 마음이 잡히면

다시 지난 여름 미국 이야기를

제대로 쓸 수 있지 않을까 싶어요.
